The Cleveland XL Halo irons also feature an enhanced Hibore crown step that drops the centre of gravity down and increases the launch of shots, giving them plenty of stopping power when they land on the green. Another innovation that Cleveland have introduced is Loft Specific Grooves whereby the 4-iron through to 7-iron have wider flatter grooves and the 8-iron through to sand wedge have more closely spaced, deeper and higher spinning grooves that provide increased control where it is most needed.
An 8g weight has been placed inside the end of the grip on the Cleveland XL Halo irons which provides a counter-balancing effect which can allow golfers to produce more clubhead speed without the requirement of any extra effort. The head shape is progressive throughout the set, with the heads becoming gradually smaller as the irons become shorter, offering the maximum help where it is needed in the long irons and maximum control in the short irons.
